Source registry
A result is only as good as the source under it. Each record carries its original units and reference frame, the validity domain as declared by the original publication, checksums for the raw file and the normalisation code, and its position on the maturity ladder.

RAW → NORMALIZED → CURATOR_REVIEWED → BENCHMARKED → EXTERNALLY_REVIEWED
No transition is automatic. Moving a source up the ladder requires a named curator or reviewer, a date, and the hash of exactly what was reviewed.
